The Fractal Funchal Fest is a rather different festival from the ordinary. It is a festival focused on urban art, providing us a wide range of options, from music, cinema, visual arts, architecture and literature.
From October 23rd to 30th, you can enjoy outdoor cinema, architecture in the streets of Funchal, music everywhere and also visual arts through the show windows.
The creators of this Festival, Carolina Caldeira and Vicente Spínola, hope with this initiative to bring joy to the people and streets of Funchal, which as in the previous edition, has the particularity of seeing the shades of yellow throughout the city.
This festival aims at a cultural program focused on individual experience and safety, in the most unexpected places in the city. One of the objectives is to get to know and explore urban art more thoroughly, where the surprising journey through the streets of Funchal will relate to architectural and artistic proposals.
The Fractal Funchal Fest, besides the cinema and music sessions, will have several facilities spread all over the city, from the Parque de Santa Catarina, Estacionamento do Edifício 2000, Rua 31 de Janeiro, Rua do Quebra-Costas , Largo do Corpo Santo, Rua do Esmeraldo, Rua do Sabão and Pátio da Igreja Anglicana (these are the name of the streets in which the Festival can be seen).
